Downtown Centralia Illinois Theatre Presents
2nd Nun Comedy September 27 at St. Mary’s School Gym

A sold-out crowd enjoyed the first Nun show “Late Nite Catechism” in August, 2007, in Centralia. The Sister is back with a vengence this year with a new show to the area—“Put the Nuns in Charge” on Saturday, September 27, 2008. This show has been enjoyed by audiences in Chicago for four years.

This interactive comedy will once again be in St. Mary’s School Gym at 424 E. Broadway, Centralia and all proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the renovation of the Downtown Centralia Illinois Theatre.

Tickets are available from the following ticket outlets in Centralia: Byrd-Watson, Centralia Stationery Johnston Jewelry, Borowiak’s IGA, Schnuck’s, Village Greenery, and Straith’s Jewelry.

There will be no reserved seats. Doors open at 6 p.m. with food for purchase before the performance. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Epics, currently playing throughout Southern Illinois and Missouri, performed sixties “Rock n Roll” music at a fundraiser in November, 2007. They are one of the few groups that do the “sixties” and are “sixty years old”. They were all students at Centralia High School and they began to play for fun throughout Southern Illinois from 1964 to 1967 and became one of the premier bands the “Garage Band Era”.
